I may not have started out as a sports fanatic, but the instant I began working with groundbreaking sports network ESPN, I became an enthusiast. Nothing riles me up more than being able to apply my insight of strategy, art direction, marketing, design and organization to such a significant campaign as "30 for 30," a documentary film series comprised of thirty films directed by thirty directors. Subjects ranged from the rivalry between NBA legend Reggie Miller and noted director Spike Lee to the unprecedented sports achievements severely overshadowed on June 17th, 1994 by a man named OJ Simpson and his white Ford Bronco.
The project required a highly organized, multi-tiered effort of cooperation across the board, which was instrumental to the great success of this campaign. The result: a Silver ADDY® Award for Mixed/Multiple Media and a new sports fan.
